now i've install MSM and MFM, everytime i turn on the device it'll show 'can't unlock map' but both MFM and MSM are working fine, can anybody suggest me a way to fix this please? I got a .gdb file for CPOI, would like to noe how can i load it into my device?thx!

If MSM / MFM maps appear in your GPS, the error has nothing to do with them.
You must have some other map files residing in your Nuvi.

to use the cPOI, the file must be in GPI format and load in POI folder... use POI Loader (can be downloaded from Garmin site) to convert GPX (not GDB) to GPI...

exactly.....i guess there's an America map inside, not sure how to unlock it, but I dun planned to unlock it anyway, just wanna noe how to uninstall it. Can u suggest me a way?

You must have some other map files residing in your Nuvi.
try to use gmaptool to find what maps reside in your unit... there must be one locked map in your unit..

to remove, just delete the map from your unit...

use gmaptool to get the info of the map... search in this forum, where to download & how to use gmaptool...

Hook up your Nuvi to your Lappy
BACKUP ALL files in your Nuvi including "HIDDEN" files
Use Win Explorer to explore the MainMemory/garmin directory.
I may be wrong, but USA map could be labeled as gmapprom.img with a file size close to 1G
Delete this file.
If you need assistance, do a screen shot of your Nuvi MainMemory/garmin directory and post here.
We can try to assist to guess which file is your USA map.
