I'm experiencing this from mapsource generated sg portion then combined with road poi and sla using gmaptool. Have no opportunity to test other combo yet.
No one else have the problem I mentioned? I realise when it happens, zooming in may show the coloured route, zooming out will revert to the same problem. It seems only at certain route, with auto-zoom enabled, the problem will surface at certain zoom level (when it auto-zoom out) cos I've tested manually zooming in/out many levels when the coloured route is showing w/o losing the coloured route.
Beats me...
Hi
Let me guess probably you have a Nuvi 765 GPS.
That's the price you have to pay to have this very smooth display most of the time.
This lag occurs always at the same places on the map.
The 765 doesn't like very detailed maps and anyway doesn't display POI when routing to have a smooth display. In map details choose normal or less level.
The lag occurs also whith official Garmin maps (ie. City Navigator Europe)
Michel
Thanks for replying.
No I'm not using 765. I'm using GMPC & GMXT as per my profile. Haven't tested on GMXT yet. My GMPC is running from a car pc with built-in gps and it is indeed smooth and fast so I don't think is a lag issue though you may be right the coloured route may only "disappear" at specific places but I'm not able to confirm that while concentrating on the road driving. It usually happens when the next turn is still far away cos that's when auto-zoom out kicks in (if I manually zoom-in, I can see the coloured route but GMPC will auto-zoom out quickly and the coloured route disappears again). So that means the route disappears most often on expressways though I've encountered it along smaller roads during a long straight route.
I didn't notice POI not appearing and do not use any official maps so I've yet to experience what you mentioned for 765. I've not make any changes and only started to experience the coloured route disappearing with the current MFM map and perhaps 2 versions back. Hope this help the mappers to track any chances made to the maps that may have caused this.

Dear friends...
I found that all the clinic at Simpang Renggam area missing at this latest map except Klinik Penawar 24 Jam. Perhaps you guys could help to put it back on the next map.
Thank you all:)

Sulhan, are you sure there were more clinic POIs at Simpang Renggam in previous versions(s), can you give some examples?

1. Several new custom POI icons including Agrobank, Al Rajhi Bank, Cold Storage, Suzuki, Volkswagen and Rilek Centres. Refer to MFM Custom Icon Reference
2. Separate MFM POI: Singapore map to facilitate uploading of Singapore-only map
3. Singapore addresses and postal codes are not displayed on Mapsource to reduce clutter
Also trying some new custom POI codes. Please PM me if your Garmin device cannot display Courts Mammoth icon.
Need some advice.
I can't find any rest stop on N-S highway under All Point of Interest, eg. there is one near Machap, is it defined?
I have another map named Gmapsupp.img in the device, not sure how should I name MFM if I want both to be active?
Thanks!

Now that you have mentioned it, I noticed some R&r and Rsa POIs are not categorized correctly. As a workaround, try using Address search and key in "R&r ___" or "Rsa ___".

Thanks, Bro, found it under R & R!
But I don't have the source on my computer for the device map file, how can I combine it with MFM using mapsource?

You're welcome.
You can either rename the other IMG to another recognized IMG map file name stated in the topic I linked above, or use GMapTool to join both IMG map files into 1 IMG.
