Err... How to install the map?

By default, there's a Navi\Maps\TW folder. So I just create a MFM folder under Maps?

How to switch map then? Is it auto one?

Zeus73, the PaPago Iphone version do not suipport multiple maps. I have tried that. may be due to its Chinese interface.

so for time being if you want Cheap 9.99USD and can read Chinese Interface, prefer to have very freq. map update, get the Taiwan version before end of this month. install it full, presume that you have JB your iPhone that you can SSh, then you make a backup of the original TW map, use back the same map directory, put MFM in it (how to is already explained in another thread). Else you can get the MY/SG version at 29.99, installation is seamless, english and other menu interface, map update depend on the freq. by vendor ...

hi chew85, interfesting, meaning instead of JB and SSH MFM map to your device after installing the TW version, you done th emap swapping at installer level? (Papago "installer" is a *. IPA file)

can someone point me the title of the topic that teaches us how to install Papago into iPhone? I've been searching around but failed to locate it. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

I just purchase Papago Iphone Malaysia/Singapore Pro US$29.99. Installed it and it seems to pickup the GPS signal pretty quick compare to Tom Tom that I was testing. I must say using Malfreemaps is a real must have. Will update in the next few days on the performance as I just installed it.

I just check the Map version and it is listed as MY/SG 090626, my iphone is Jailbreak which maps should I update.

jackdon.

Updated:

I ssh to the iphone and found the following path to the maps.

/private/var/mobile/Applications/2C19044E-58BE-4EA5-9AB6-998B4BF44A5F/PPG!SGMYPRO.app/Navi/Maps/MFM, I backup this directory just incase

Now dowloading the MFM-PPG-C100122.exe 132MB file :) lets see how it goes.

Update:

Success in update maps to C100122, remember to set the permission to 0755 for all files after you copy over.

Update:

haha  Voice got the following:-

Mandarin
Hokkien
Hakka
English
Cantonese
Malay

Hmmm... maybe I will try Hokkien tomorrow :finga:

Can you do address or POI search with this Map(C100122)?

I saw papago! SG&MY lite now with USD9.99! They claim without junction view and 3D landmark compare to papago SG&MY Pro.

I have the taiwan m6.1 version, after some meddling finally got it to work. Changing file using 7zip doesn't work for me. So i have to go the SSH way using iPhone Folders. Surprisingly no need to change permission code, maybe it's done automatically.

Copy all 26 files and replace the psz POI with MFM psu and renamed to psz.

POI Searching is ok, road searching is ok, But problem is all the POIs still showing wrong icons.

I m using the latest MFM-PPG-C100122.exe and choosing Android X5 - Colorful.

Am i doing something wrong here or must i use back the old MAP as suggested by chew85?

Thanks :D
