Anyone can answer this question? A lot of us here are wondering whether it is possible to update the map without jb.
I bought this Papago SY/MY Pro edition thinking that the map can be upgrade without having have to jb the iphone. So far not able to do so.
Please share with us the steps if this can be done. Thanks.

I've successfully unziped with winrar, and replace it with updated maps. But the stupid itune wont allow me to install and keep saying the file had modified. :tease: <---Apple

I have the same error. Probably due to apple security feature to prevent modified software etc.
However, there are members who claim can upgrade maps without jb iphone. Hopefully, they can share with us how to do this. Thanks

I just purchased papago M6 sg & my pro.

Tried it with a quick search and was very fast to lock my position. Will test drive it tomorrow, but after I get my car kit... drains battery very fast.

Anyhow, got a question to ask. Give i purchased the application, can I copy out the ipa file and back it up in a HDD? Cause I will be reinstalling original win7 ultimate and formating this win7 RC.

So I should be able to still use the downloaded installer even after I do a fresh reformat of this computer right? Lets say I need to restore my iphone, I don't need to repurchase papago M6 correct?

Ok... took the M6 out for test run... comparison to my Garmin XT...

Sat lock in just 5 secs, where as my garmin took about 25 secs

Moving arrow stays on the road of map while garmin occassionally jumps "outside" of the road and stay there are a while before "jumping" back on road.

Accuracy, about the same as garminr XT at junctions (both say the turn at the same time)

Junction view is a blessing :D much easier to understand and see compared to garmin's turn preview.

Cons : drains iphone battery REALLY fast.

overall, satisfied with my purchase :-)

I noticed at certain places in KL, it tends to give longer route even after choosing shorter distance. And for recommended, it choose the one with heaviest traffic :D

Only realised today morning when going to work and just mucked around with papago.

And one else have the same experience?

Confirmed that you require jailbreak to use modified IPA files using Winrar, which is CONTRARY to what chew85 said.

So remember... you need to JAILBREAK your iPhone first to use this method.
