To turn off auto zoom feature in GMXT, select Tools > Settings > Map > Auto Zoom > Disabled.

Yes, I have tried selecting track up, and turned off all voice prompts, but no luck. Is it because my Nuvi 610 is too old?

Thanks so much for your help

Paul

Try removing as much unnecessary files from Nuvi to create more RAM space.

Hey this worked! Thanks a mil man! went out for 2 drives and the map worked beautifully! thanks so much! :tq:

My 205W hangs when loading maps after I updated with the latest map.

I can't even boot it up as data to remove the map.

What can I do?

Please help.

Can on but it gets stuck at loading maps.

If I plug it to my laptop, it also hangs with the progress bar at around 5%.

I even tried pressing the bottom right corner of the screen when powering up to reset user data, but even after reset also same problem.

This is the first time that I'm updating the maps and this happens....

y after updating to a newer map such as this, all my recent finds fields are empty(just kilometres) and like changed already name already wan??
moreoever the routing seems to bring me to a longer and impossible route..
(this is the carrefour wan)

another routing error..
if heading towards jusco@pyramid, it will always route to take a u turn when the correct route shud be just take ramp right to the carpark..(im not sure y its routed to the main entrance but last version of the map is correct, which is take ramp right)

Looks like the map in Nuvi is corrupted and therefore preventing Nuvi from booting up normally. If the map is installed in data card, you can just simply remove the card and reinstall the map, but if it's installed in Nuvi's memory, then it's going to be a bit difficult. First, you can try to install a working map (GMAPSUPP.IMG) in \Garmin folder of a data card and insert it into Nuvi, and try connecting to PC. If it is able to connect as USB mass storage device, remove all IMG files within \Garmin folder of Nuvi's main drive.

However, if the above is not able to get Nuvi detected, the other method is to flash Nuvi with a cure RGN firmware specifically for disabling Nuvi from reading IMG files while booting up. This method will allow Nuvi to boot up, albeit lacking the ability to read IMG map files. Once it's able to connect in USB mass storage mode, remove all IMG files within \Garmin folder of Nuvi's main drive. Finally, Nuvi should be flashed with a normal RGN to restore it's firmware. Depending on Nuvi model/localization, the appropriate RGN can be obtained from the internet, or you can create it yourself.

No, JCV/LA is map dependent. While LA is a built-in feature (of the map), JCV although in separate file can only be activated with the appropriate map.
