i did everthing according to the steps. after setting view to 500km, i highlighted the area then ticked the bottom box. after that sent it to my device.

Seems like you're using a non-NT map supported model, but I can only guess at this point. Therefore, please provide as much info as possible, such as which Garmin device you are using, etc.

First time downloaded the MFM today for my Garmin 205W. After I copied the gmapsupp.img (everything else untouched) to my SD card and restart the device. The device is still "Loading Maps..." even after more than 30 mins. I can't shut down the device now. Any help would be very much appreciated.

The map installed in the card is corrupted, you need to remove the card and re-install the map. If the one that you have downloaded is a zipped GMAPSUPP.IMG, then I'd recommend you to download and install the map using MFM installer instead.

Thanks. Do I need to rename the GMAPSUPP.IMG file in the device? I am not sure whether it would be a problem if the two files carry the same name (one in device and one in SD card).

No, Nuvi is capable of having both GMAPSUPP.IMGs in device and data card.

But my unit can only work after I renamed the file in the device. The junction views that used to work on MSM 4.0 also not showed up. Don't know why.

You mean you cannot use GMAPSUPP.IMG in device if there's already GMAPSUPP.IMG in data card? Then something's wrong with your Nuvi.

Is MSM NT 2009.40 still available at Map Info? Is it already checked (ticked)? Is SgMyMal.JCV file available in \Garmin\JCV folder?

eventually,when i opened Garmin Mobile PC the map has gone blank.can anyone sifus help me on this?
