dvpro,

alamak..

Would like very much to legitimate the software so that I can have the kind of support M3 is giving. The only thing is, will it resolve the problems highlighted or should I wait a bit? Err...did I misunderstand you? No m3 x5 for non-m3 hardware? : alamak..   Can someone from M3 clarify this?

Thanks for the reply.

The issue is at the moment they are selling the X5, but only along with the hardware too. Yes, maybe you should wait for them to sell the software only option.

Many thanks dvpro for the info.

Wish I had came to know MFM forum before I purchase the device so that I'd know what is legit and what is not. Only know about this MFM after bought the thing. Maybe, I should brought up this matter to CAP.

Anyway, to you guys at MFM, keep up the good work. Thanks

To guys from m3gps,

My GPS was purchased from a local French Hypermarket. No brand name, but was informed made in taiwan. Are they using legitimate M3 papago x3 or maybe they have managed to modify Taiwan's version? :( The application file is navi24800.exe. Apart from the above problem, everything is ok except slight lag (1 or 2 second) on the position shown on the screen as compared to your actual position. So my question is, if I purchase your x5 (if the papago x3 is not from you), can it be used on this unit? and, will it resolve the above problem? (fatal error, reduce lag etc).

Best regards

As stated on Maction web site, only these devces are authorised to pre-install and sold with the devices.
http://www.mactiontech.com/News/NewsDetails.aspx?Nid=82

With exception of Papago software for Window Mobile , Android & iPHone, which you can buy in software packages.

Those on WinCE platform PND , the software X3, X5 are pre-install in the GPS devices.

If the GPS which you purchased has no names (or not in the list given above) then it is high chances that they have
given you a cracked version or pirated copy of the software. I would advise you to approach the "French Hypermarket"
and seek clarification.

Hope this clarify

Somebody mentioned a few pages before, on the fatal error occurred when navigating karak highway. The december 2009 map version do not seem to have that problem. Someone also did mentioned if using 100106 version also no problem.

Bro md zaidi,

every km? wow that's quite a few of soft restarts...have you tried using old MFM version (091209 or 100106)? Maybe ok kot? cos it works for me on the karak highway. Notice that when I'm on karak highway towards bentong, the top left display says that I'm about certain distance from entering the Karak H'way. How could that be when your are already on karak h'way? Both old and new map shows the same error. My theory is that old map as compared to new ones do not use so much memory, so repeating errors do not cause the processor to fatally crash. Maybe you want to simulate your route from Kelantan to Kuantan again and see that the map has the same error. I dunno, anyone from MFM has any theory? or maybe x5 is the answer?

Regards

I have the same problem going to & fro KL-Kuantan when my wayway crashed both time at the exact same spot between the Genting Sempah tunnel and the genting highland exit. Suspect it to have something to do with the states border continuity.
