MFM-Papago release feedback

hi all,

i've been experimenting with different version of mfm release maps, and found map 100106 seems to be consistent without fatal error to cameron highlands, bkt tinggi and genting highlands repeatedly(these three locations are my benchmark).

What's wrong with Cameron Highland route

my experience is that when went up CH last week using papagox3 map 100203 is kept on crashing "fatal error" when tried to go to locations like Equatorial, Strawberry Park or Brinchang except for kampung raja which is at lower altitude. finally since my papago can't be used, i've switched to my igo8 for guidance. the only problem with igo8 is that the map is not fully updated.

descending at about 8:00pm evening that day, i've switched on my papago but instead of routing(which will caused app to crash) i've used it as monitoring mode(to see the location of my vehicle) to anticipated the twists and turns of CH road and it was very helpful especially at night(my alternate night vision system) and it made my driving pretty much pleasant compared to others. to this i would like to say kudos to mfm team.

You went up to CH from where, Tapah or Simpang Pulai..?

I am a newbie to your forum, just joined a few minutes ago.

The reason for my posting onto your site is, I have just purchased a new PAPAGO XDRIVER R5890BT and to be honest I am still trying to find my way around in terms of how to use the device. The fact that it does not come with a user manual does not help at all.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I wish to know how I can download the latest malfreemaps into my PAPAGO device or in other words update the exiting maps in my GPS device. My feeling is that the existing maps in my device are not the latest as I cannot find my aunty's street/road on the device and she lives in Jalan 19/26 in PJ. Another road that is not on the device is Jalan 19/24. Please help/advise.

1. Download the latest MfM Papago Maps from the first page.
2. Install the downloaded file, name the folder as ***\map-YYYYMMDD (this is my own suggestion, so u can know which date of the map are)
3. At your R5890BT, look into the folder called maps; deleted every thing inside it.
4. Copy the folder that you created in step 2 into the device folder \map\

You should have new maps with your device.
