My two cents worth.

Sick of what, Kelvin? Legal advice not good for MFM? - Antyong
The more this is talk about, the more there is to talk about. Doing the right thing or wrong thing, no one know. I think a framework is being drawn up between all the mappers, based on experiences and common understanding....the difference is MFM is a forum on mapping and is different compared to software applications, etc.
Also, many people can make maps and they can also create their own website to do this. They can also use mapcenter2. BUT, when everyone has a common map, is very difficult to prove anything. Furthermore, MFM does not have a legal representation or entity. This is the main hurdle and will be difficult to enforce.
Most of us cares and value our reputation. Not only we have to do the right thing, we must also be seen to endorse the right actions. So, people who are happy with this forum, will stay with this forum.
The good thing is map get outdated very fast. So, you can steal once but will be very difficult to do it again. When you steal from people and improve on it, other people will steal and improve on it.

Cheers, Kelvin.
